Psychological influences play an important role in the persistence of many diseases, especially those that defy rationality, judgment, or even care. People's attitudes about their disease have an impact on how sick they get. Depression is a universal psychiatric condition that has a pessimistic impact on how people perceive, behave, and even conduct. The illness causes feelings of unhappiness and a lack of interest in previously loved hobbies. Depressed people often experience a number of physical and mental conditions that affect their capacity to function both at home and at work. Fortunately enough, depression is treatable, and a person can get back to a normal life just like before. The action of an individual can either take them deeper into depression or escort them out of it; for that case, it is all in the head.

The majority of people always struggle with depression and anxiety by visiting counselors, taking medications, getting the unofficial diagnosis with the bipolar and anxiety disorder among other guesses, but the problem is that they just worry much. Cognitive Therapy or just CT is one of the major depression’s psychological therapies with the aim of alleviating the disorder through bringing change in the way people think. The CT’s mission is to transform the pessimistic biases in the minds of affected individuals to an affirmative pattern. There is a possibility of walking people out of depression or even make them think themselves out of the phobia. For one to conquer the reactions that are in association with depression, first and foremost, they must be ready to confront, approach, and deal with the fear. An individual has to take the behavioral steps and positive actions to enable them to get out depression from their lives (Lazarus, p.3).

Just by shifting one’s mind occasionally by challenging the irrational values and even the cognitive schemas is not enough to change a person’s mood out of depression, but changing the way one acts can do the trick. The case is valid as the depressant actions such as isolation, withdrawal, disengagement, and inactivity always have the neurochemical depletion effects on the brain; but through the antidepressant actions, there is neurochemical replenishment on the brain. The antidepressant conduct in most cases engrosses social involvement, engagement, reconnecting to the activities that one previously enjoyed and physical mobility, just to mention a few. The behaviors always assist one in walking out of depression as the feelings and thoughts are always in alignment with the actions that one undertakes (Lazarus, 6).

Depression is all in the head of people because one can be fine just some days back, share the happy moments out with the old friends for instance on the beach. It is that feeling for something after taking the longer duration without involving oneself in such activities. It is that feeling that forces people to go outside and sees the usual faces around that make them smile and become happy. Life then gets into the way, and just after some time, one gets back to the lack of sensation mood followed by the feeling of guilt for being just well for once (Villavicencio, p.5).

Depression is just all in the head, and unlike what the majority of people perceives, the disease is never equal to sadness. The adverse proceedings, for instance, the crisis in a career, the end of friendship, and even the demise of a loved one among others can all generate the depressive occurrence, but they are not the same feelings as those of depression. Depression does not have to go after the rule of basis and outcome, that is to say, nothing has to go wrong for a person to have depression. The disorder can creep at any time in a person’s life without any warning or apparent reason (Arpita). When in depression, an individual gets that emotion of a growing void, a confused state of mind, and that loss of interest as the monster creeps into their heads. Once it is in the head, the carriers become the victim of the queries of existence.

The affected individuals then get besieged with the assignment of getting the connotation, intention, and reason in their minds. All such grave burden usually leaves them in trouble and even exhausted, and they can, in most instances, be seen walking just like zombies in a gathering, crawling on the wet verandahs with the load of the monster, but they mainly feel nothing. That clearly verifies that depression is all about the mind game and with changed behavior and actions, the depression monster in the head of affected individuals can move out, and one becomes routine again.

Depression is in the head as it is due to the imbalance of the brain neurotransmitters. As the brain cells malfunction and fails in transmitting or receiving the precise signals for the mood regulation, the body may become sluggish down at its usual pace. Additionally, the appetite may get lost or even increase; one may want to sleep most of the time or may not be in a position to sleep at all among other problems. When one engages in the simple daily responses like playing with the children, going for some cardiovascular training, and even watching any comedy movies, one is in a position just to live on without having the effects of the disorder as the brain gets engaged in other activities (Long, 14).

Depression is all in the head as per the study about the high-accuracy MRI scans of about one thousand people in China. There was an analysis of the correlation that exists between the lateral OFC and the medial which are the different parts of the brain that the depression affects. From the investigation, the research squad realized that the lateral OFC has an association with the person’s logic of personality, self-worth, loss and capability of accessing happy memories and suppressing the unhappy ones. Before the performance of the study, people never knew the areas of the brain that has linkage to depression.

Depression is all in the head because it is always there even if one tries to get the medical help. People always line up in the therapist’s offices explaining their thoughts and what they get is the prescriptions of the various medications as if it is just a trial and error game (Villavicencio, 8). It involves getting the medication pills to function normally just like anybody else, but the disorder never goes away as it defies medicine and always remain in the head. Depression is all in the head as it brings the feeling of not able to conceive the future. One always talk to others about the coming events but in the real sense is not in that position to picture the future showing the problem is all in the head.
