People are affected by their families, peers, and the conditions of the community in which they live as they grow up. Michael is one of the few people who defied the rules and decided to live his life by chanting. Michael recognized the connection between social events and an individual's ability to thrive and excel in life. Michael is a reincarnationist. He recalls having poor experiences as a casual laborer on a farm somewhere in the southern states before his current life. As a result, he used these experiences in his life to influence how Americans view and treat one another.

Michael's Early Life and Beliefs

Michael was born in 1941 in Hollywood, Los Angeles. He was the last child born in a large family of eight children. His parents were casual workers with the municipal council. His older siblings were girls except for the eldest. This was a time when the country was more committed to racial integration than ever before. Hollywood is one of the most culturally diverse neighbourhoods in the United States. From an early age, he was eager to ensure that America and the whole world overcomes racial profiling and discrimination. He used the racial diversity to prove that America can be an integrated society whose people look beyond race, gender, and other demographics. His ancestry is linked to Asian and European descents. He believed that this would help him in his campaign for a racially integrated America. Due to his multiple ancestries, his parent's house was often visited by individuals from different backgrounds and he understood that all people were equal. Despite the racial diversity of Hollywood, there were still cases of racial harassment at the time of his birth.

Michael's Early Activism for Equality

Michael was born at a time when some notable figures within US communities were trying to strike a balance between individuals of different races, genders, and other characteristics. In summary, there was no equality in the country but a few people beginning to see its essence. He chose not to be confined by the societal pressures. When Michael was 3 years old, his parents tried to implore his three older sisters to drop out of school in order to give him an opportunity. At the time, many people believed that education was meant for men. Experiences in his earlier life as a manual laborer taught him that all people had equal potential and should be given an opportunity to determine where this potential can work well. Michael declined being taken to school at the expense of his sisters and instead chose to stay at home until they complete education.

Michael's Educational Journey and Impact

Due to the delay to start his education, Michael found time to study the society and understand its dynamics. Despite being out of school, he used his siblings' books to learn to read and write. He later came to learn that most schools in the neighborhood were discriminatory against individuals of certain races. He thought of a solution to this discrimination. He understood that racism was a vice that was handed down the generations. Therefore, he saw that by interrupting the contact between two generations, he would eventually bring racism to an end.

Michael never attended a formal class. However, his siblings' books and the occasional tuition helped him master major concepts in subjects such as literature, mathematics, and sciences. At the age of 8, he had caught up with his siblings who were regularly attending school. Michael decided to help the children who were being racially and sexually discriminated at the local schools. His sisters helped him find four children who were struggling with their studies. Rather than identify himself as a teacher, he started interactive sessions with these two children where they would build on what they had learned to understand the concepts better.

The performance of the two students improved and this continued drawing more children. Students from the neighborhood continued thronging their backyard. Michael saw this as an opportunity to break the racist tendencies. He taught his new students about the necessity of racial integration. Parents started showing preference for his sessions to the formal ones offered at school. This eventually drew the attention of the authorities and his father was summoned for questioning.

Michael's Influence and Recognition

Michael's teachings seemed to go against the sentiments of most of the locals and the authorities. He put all the children in the same classes despite their gender and race. In 1952, at the age of 11, Michael was arrested and his school closed. This led to an uproar by the locals who saw Michael's system as superior to that of the local school district. The authorities had to let him free but insisted that he does not continue with the school. Many parents pulled their children out of school in protest. In order to solve the crisis, Michael was appointed to the school district board and it was announced that he would help develop a new curriculum and make important decisions. This marked the launching of Michael's career as an educationist. In 1955, Michael was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in formulating racially diverse schools.
