The nurse should strive to persuade the adult client that not all information available online is accurate, and that before recommending a vaccination or any other drug, extensive research must be conducted to guarantee that it is effective and not hazardous. The nurse must recognize that the internet is a valuable source of information and that many researchers and others rely on it for information. But as much as this is the case, there is no control on who puts information on the website, because of the large volumes of information that are uploaded into the internet each day it becomes difficult for one to single out a reliable source of information. It is so hard to verify the information on the internet just as there are no regulations that have been put in place to try to control the information that has been put on the web. Until such mechanisms and control structures to regulate, the information on the internet has been put in place the information on the web cannot be relied upon.

The nurse also needs to explain to the client that for the vaccine to be recommended for use, it has to be tested and found not to be harmful. Government and other agencies invest many resources in research of vaccines and other medicinal substances before it is recommended for use. Resources that are directed to such kinds of research include financial aids, human resources; this is regarding professionals who bring their expertise in the development of vaccines. Time is also another resource that is directed towards the research of the vaccines. All the efforts that are directed towards developing vaccines ensure that they are safe for use before they are given to clients.
