Benefits and Drawbacks of Relocating to Louisiana

Relocating from one place to the rest can be daunting, especially if one has inadequate information about the place they are moving to. The positive transformation that will take place in my family is moving my parents from Tennessee to Louisiana. We have lived in Tennessee for several years and I feel that it is time that we had a change of environment. There several reasons why Louisiana is the ideal destination of choice.

            One of the intended positive effects is that they will enjoy a low cost of living. Almost all residents Louisiana enjoy a low cost of living that is approximately 5 percent lower than other parts of the country. Th houses are affordable and the place has some of the lowest utility rates across the United States, which makes the place one of the most comfortable places to live in. Louisiana is also a good place to do business and is attractive for many companies. The Louisiana state also has many job opportunities for working professionals, and has increasing growth of job opportunities across the country.

            There are also unintended negative effects of relocating my parents to the State of Louisiana. Firstly, the state has one of the worst health care systems across the country. Louisiana is struggling to offer quality services to the citizens, more so those living in the rural, impoverished regions. The state also experiences poor weather conditions, which may affect the health of my parents. Louisiana experiences severe weather, hurricanes, floods, and high levels of humidity.

            Relocating from Tennessee to Louisiana is feasible and affordable. If going by road, the journey would take approximately 9 hours. However, if flight is used, then it would take less than an hour. The approximate cost of driving is $64. My younger sister will most definitely oppose the move because she is more used to living in Tennessee and would not want a change of environment.
