The use of the internet is not a right but a privilege, therefore, inappropriate use of the organization’s internet could lead to repercussions. IT specialists are tasked with the responsibility of deeming what is inappropriate to use.’

Internet Etiquette

Each user is expected to follow the generally accepted use of internet etiquette, which includes (Lloyd, 2017):

Users should not engage in unlawful activities;

Users should desist from using the network in a way that is disruptive to other users;

No one is allowed to reveal personal and confidential details such as social security numbers, phone numbers, and personal address;

Users are not allowed to use vulgarities or swear or use any language that is deemed inappropriate.
