Humans are naturally drawn to things that are lovely. While it is true that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, humans can detect appealing things from a distance, just like a good fragrance. People want to hold and own lovely things in the end. According to studies, attractive objects activate a portion of the motor cerebellum that controls hand movement (Hosey 25). Beauty gives people the delight of receiving a highly valued gift. People are obviously eager to pay a premium in order to buy the best things on the market. The beauty and the design industry has continued to flourish; something, which further explains the human behavior. Been around a beautiful person or thing heightens one’s mood and their self-esteem.

Vibrant colors tend to be associated with productivity, and this tends to motivate people around them. Research illustrates that painting one’s house with bright, beautiful colors is likely to heighten people’s mood and make them attentive to one another. For instance, if a person observed at a color green for some time, they are likely to be motivated ( Hosey 5). If customer’s approached a company that is painted with warm, beautiful colors, they are likely to pay attention to its products and perhaps even make purchases.

Without the gratification of beauty, people would lead relatively boring lives. The beauty of things affects how people interact with each other and even perceive things (Hosey 7). It is apparent that one would go for the biggest beautiful house if they had the chance to do it. Without physical beauty, people would be content with their progress in life and hence would not be motivated to seek for better things. For instance, the beauty of cars, furniture, and countries pushes people to work hard so that they can ultimately own them. Therefore, beauty is not only appealing to the eyes but also essential for human growth.
