Many firms have been forced to alter their operations as a result of the changes in the business environment. As a result, businesses have implemented fresh strategies to enhance their offerings. Using the human resource management division is one of the ways they are successful. Any organization's human resource department is crucial. By managing the workforce well, a business is better able to achieve its objectives. An organization needs human resource management because it handles tasks like hiring, training, developing, and compensating employees that enable businesses to operate at the desired degree of efficiency.

One of the responsibilities of the human resource department is recruitment, which aids in organizational growth. A firm is not complete without employees. The workers are needed to help a company provide the required service and product for its customers. When a need arises for new hires in the organization, the HRM has to hire the most suitable people for the position. The success of any human resource management is measured by its ability to fill the position in the shortest time possible. It has to ensure that the right people are hired. According to Chawdhury (2002), it is important to recruit a talented work force because it helps an organization to remain competitive. Therefore, an organization will be better positioned to compete with its competitors.

Training and development is also another vital function of the HRM that helps in the development of an organization. Through training, the employees will get the tools they require to perform their duties. Additionally, it helps in filling the gap between knowledge and skills. Development, on the other hand, will enable the employees to reach their full potential. Managers need to inform employees of what is supposed to be done in any given situation. Giving the employees the freedom to make decisions in the company will make them feel like a part of the organization (Ramesh &Kumar, 2014). As such, they will remain in the company for a long time.

Finally, HRM also takes care of compensation for the company. It is evident that employees must get compensated for their hard work in the enterprise. Apart from the pay, they also need rewards to motivate them. Therefore, the HRM must come up with the compensation structures, health coverage, and even insurance. Ramesh (2014), states that motivated employees will be highly productive to the company. Employees who are neglected will look for better alternatives in another organization. When employees leave a company, it will affect the survival of that organization (Burma, 2014). Corporations that want to retain their employees need to give them decent compensation and rewards.

In conclusion, the human resource management practices are vital for any organization. Recruitment, training and development, and compensation are important functions which will help contribute to the competitive advantage of any organization. Corporations are going through dramatic changes. Most of the firms have to go out of their way to ensure that the organization achieves its goals. When employees are rewarded, they will not feel the need to leave the organization. Furthermore, they will do their work diligently. The human resource management function is an efficient way to ensure that employees who are qualified for the job are given the opportunity to contribute to the company’s overall direction. Employees are a key factor to an organization’s success, and thus they have to be treated in the right way.
