Separation Osteosarcoma Pathogenesis

A condition associated with bone cancer is osteosarcoma. Due to the fact that the ailment is frequently linked to tissues growing quickly, it mostly affects teens and young adults. Environmental elements as physical, chemical, and biological toxins are also proposed as osteosarcoma carcinogens (Jenner 130-131). The role of ionizing radiations and UV radiation among these triggers is better understood. Chromosome abnormalities and other genetic diseases are another cause of osteosarcoma. The fast bone growth that occurs in teenagers and young adults will be the key process explored in this research. A number of studies have shown a significant correlation between osteosarcoma and rapid bone growth experienced during puberty and adolescence. Around Fifty-six percent of the cases of osteosarcoma happen around the knee. The increase in height increases the rate at which the condition spreads to the nearby bones. The peak of the condition happens relatively earlier in females compared to the males and it is related to the relatively earlier growth spurt that happens in girls (Marko, Diessner and Spector 1006-1011). The ratio of male to female sufferers of the condition is 1:5. Patients with Paget’s disease which is a condition characterized by rapid bone growth are more likely to suffer from osteosarcoma.

The phylogenic analysis that would help in the understanding of the disease by the physicians is to identify the cause of the chromosomal and genetic syndromes related to osteosarcoma and this way manage it in the offspring of the patients. The hypothesis that every teenager or adolescent will have malignant tissues in the bone that would lead to their death as a result of cancer can be derived. A group of teenagers would be picked and then placed under multiple cancer-related tests throughout their lifetime and more especially during their teenage and young adulthood ages.
