Solove’s major problem

Solove's main issue is the unnoticed side of Internet criticism and how damaging it can be to an individual. Undeniably, the issue on the effects of Internet criticism or blogging is of great significance, since it will enable individual’s fathom how and to what extent they could criticize someone by enlightening them on the detrimental effects it could have on an individual’s life.

There is no major difference in Solove’s and Friedman’s texts, since both address the evolution of communication and the impact it has on the connectivity and sharing of information in the modern era. The authors come to a consensus that technological advance has enhanced easy communication. Friedman argues that evolution of technology has flattened the world meaning that it has made it easy to communicate. Likewise, Solove shows that the Internet has enhanced information sharing to the extent that it could be used to as a social norm enforcer.
