Expeditor

While an expeditor's job is to keep the community focused on success, handling multiple individuals can be difficult (Northouse, 2015). The speed of delivery varies among the members of the party. As a result, if an expeditor attempts to force community members to work beyond the defined boundaries, they might face resistance because certain individuals want to work to the best of their abilities. Group participants end up disagreeing regardless of what the expeditor wants of them if they lack versatility and creative thought. As team members work under pressure to perform on schedule, the position of an expeditor will exacerbate personal differences. Within a group work, members are interdependent for them to complete their tasks. However, an expeditor always expects individual results according to the set goals (Seibert, Kraimer, & Heslin, 2016). As a result, group members may end up conflicting for them to please the expeditor. Sometimes in a group setting, some members have access to resources while others do not. Therefore, in the bid to meet the expectations of the expeditors, some members may feel sidelined, and this can bring rise to conflict.

Incompatible Goals

While an expeditor is working towards getting results, group members may conflict because of incompatible goals. The reason behind the incompatibility is because of the different positions of the employees. However, in a group setting the expeditor is often result-oriented (Northouse, 2015). In this case, it is essential to do away with expedited delivery because of the group members' incompatible goals. Sometimes, the role of an expeditor negates the value of the task. As such, it is essential to look at the added value expenses when expediting in a group.

Task-Related Roles

Task-related roles that have the potential to influence a group to complete their tasks positively

Task Leader

Most leaders if not all in a group have a high status because of their maturity, knowledge, and experience in leading others (Seibert, Kraimer&Heslin, 2016). Due to such attributes, leadership roles help the group to steer forward towards the set goals. Because a task leader is talkative and more interactive, tends to bring the people working in a team together. A group with an active task leader can perform better because group members have someone they can look up to. A task leader helps to keep the group in focus by engaging all members and encouraging them to do their best. Therefore, a task leader has the potential to influence a team to complete their tasks positively.

Information Provider

Another role that positively influences group work is the information provider because they have more experience hence they tend to give out information that is in line with the group's set goals (Northouse, 2015). When other group members are shy or not as expressive, they can rely on the information provided to help the group achieve their goals. The information provider helps to save time by working with the best information.

Information Seeker

Lastly, a group information seeker is also instrumental in that helps collect the most important information from the group and use it to achieve set goals. Because their role is filtering useful information then it becomes possible for the group to work with the best ideas needed for the project. Instead of implementing each member's ideas, the information seekers help to come up with best solutions that will help the group not only achieve their goals but realize them on time.
