Jerusalem is a unique city in the world, and over thousands of years of history, it has created many features which cannot be found in many other cities in the world like architectural styles, historical and many archaeological sites. Jerusalem is a center of inspiration for Christians and the Jewish.

Constantine was the main inspiration in the Jerusalem revolution since he took Christianity into a higher level in the Roman empire. Until then Christianity was not attributed to physical spaces in Jerusalem. Jerusalem also referred to as the city of guilt which had murdered Jesus Christ. The Christian church raged in the highest levels in the fourth century, and Bishop Makarios of Jerusalem championed against Arianism and was supported by the council of Nicaea Rome. Makarios success led into him proposing of what would become the Christians faith milestone. Since he had become popular in Jerusalem and people supported him, he recommended for the abolition of the Aphrodite Temple in Jerusalem which would unearth the said Christ’ tomb which lied beneath it.

In as much as Constantine knew that the tomb could as well be a myth, a tombstone was discovered after a long excavation. The headstone was immediately regarded as the Christ’ tomb and adding to that; the excavators found the hill of Golgotha. After all this unfolding, the Christian community altered their hearts to the tangible reality which was going to change their course of history through time. The church of the holy sepulture was built on the alleged tomb site gradually.

Therefore, Christianity is incarnational culture meaning that our spiritual life should mirror our material culture including the environment we live.
