Times Square in New York City

Times Square is one of the most iconic locations in New York City. In addition to being a major commercial intersection, it is also a popular tourist destination and entertainment district. The show also includes performances by Kilo Kish, the multi-hyphenate artist. In his show, American Gurl, Kish blends pop culture and camp to satirize traditional ideas of the American Dream. The performance is part of his concept album of the same name that will premiere in 2022.

MTV Studios

The MTV Studios in Times Square will close after the end of its lease in 2014. The studios were opened in 1997, when MTV and its parent company Viacom expanded the network. The studios at 1515 Broadway had windows that overlooked Times Square and were used as a venue for MTV's Total Request Live. When the lease was up in 2013, Viacom decided not to renew it.

MTV does not frequently use its studios in Times Square, and has used it only once since the death of Michael Jackson. At the time, MTV filmed live in Times Square and had a crew broadcast the news from there.

Minskoff Theatre

The Minskoff Theatre is located in the heart of Times Square. It is easily accessible from the 7 train or by walking along 44th or 45th Streets. The theater offers both matinee and evening performances. The theater is also accessible by bus and there are multiple parking options nearby.

The building is near six Best Buy stores in the greater Manhattan area. Best Buy has a multi-year naming rights deal with AEG Live. It will host concerts and other entertainment.

The theater has a capacity of 2150 people and is the premiere concert venue in Times Square. Featuring performances by top artists, the theater is also a multi-use venue that can accommodate a wide variety of events.

MoMA
