Factors Influencing Business Conduct in the Globalized Corporate World

Some factors are crucial essentially to make the essence most effective as globalization takes hold in the modern corporate world. First of all, it has been noted that every nation has its own manner of doing affairs, which is largely influenced by the local cultures. Etiquette, knowledge of the local cultures, and existing cultural norms are essential to conducting business successfully in the modern world. The Netherlands is one of these nations that has made significant global market investments (Ning, 2006). However, there are important aspects that must be taken into account by each party. Although such cultures are viewed as limited to the specific areas, such cultural dimensions like Being-Doing and Uncertainty Avoidance take effect not only in Netherlands but also in other parts around the world. As a small country, Netherlands is an open society though with a limited internal market.

Business Practices in the Netherlands

Netherlands has thus opened its borders to the wider or rather broader markers. However, against the wider perception that the client is always right, this is not quite the case in the country. In spite of this, the general population is perceived to be hardworking in most cases targeting on simplifying the client requirements rather giving them high-status privileges as in some other countries. Besides being more reserved the kind of communication and language the people of Netherlands prefer is that of direct. Basically, this is one way of avoiding unwarranted doubts or simply the sense of ambiguity (Ning, 2006). In other words, Netherland has strict codes of conduct and rules that reduce cases of self-doubts or their fellow workmates. In overall, Netherlands has been viewed as the best destination for doing business simply on the basis of their beliefs and strictness in following the stipulated code of ethics.
