Eating is the only source of energy and provides several benefits to humans

As a result, imbalanced eating habits frequently result in nutritional issues and health consequences (Verstuyf et al., 2016). According to the American Dietetic Association, healthy eating is determined by the pattern and amount of food consumed, as well as frequent physical activity. Previous research has shown that exercise and food are important for the mind. All of this is attainable through systematic motivations for individuals to adopt healthy eating habits. Feeling good about yourself, selecting the appropriate role model, identifying the source of a negative eating habit, embracing physical fitness, and setting a realistic goal for diet success are examples of these (Vandeweghe et al., 2016).

Feeling good about myself

Most of the people tend to desire to have body changes as a result of the views of the people around them. When people pose negative comments on the body size, affected individuals always tend to eat more food to gain more body mass or starve themselves to cut down the weight to please their pals. As a result, these results in an unbalanced diet that will not only affect the body size but will also bring about other related food diseases such as kwashiorkor, marasmus, cancer and many others. Therefore, I have the sole responsibility of possessing the positive feeling about my body size, shape, and weight unless advised by the doctors. As a result, I will ensure that people's opinions do not contribute negatively to the kind of diet I take.

Choosing and rethinking the type of role model

It is very common with youths who tend to copy the lifestyle of some celebrities because of the awards they have received, body shape and many other reasons. The life-pretending aspects always result in bad eating habits such skipping some meals. For example, many young girls will opt to take snacks and many other light foods to either cut weight or gain weight depending on the role model. The goal at times is not achievable, leading to mental disturbance, immune imbalance hence nutritional diseases. As a result, I will ensure I stay up to my goals towards healthy living, an aspect that should not be influenced by the lifestyle of any model.

Identifying the cause of bad eating habit

Food is also the source of nutrients such as protein, vitamins, and carbohydrate that are a source of bodybuilding, energy provision, and protection. Proper diet will ensure healthy lifestyles as all the body requirements will be available in the correct proportion. Some people always either loose appetite and therefore tend to eat less food or gains appetite and eat more food frequently. Either way, results in nutritional diseases such as obesity and underweight. Thus, it is vital for me to identify the factors causing the overeating or under eating habits. Many people tend to use food as a source of pleasure and elements to tame disappointments, boredom, personal success and many others. I will ensure these causes are well-addressed to control the eating habit.

Adopting physical fitness

Research shows that physical fitness relates to the brain fitness since the exercises result in the creation of more new brain cells, a process known as neurogenesis. The new brain cells result in increased willpower of the brain. These changes, therefore, increases the degree of the brain responsiveness to particular food cues. The physical activity also ensures that there is maximum metabolic process hence all the nutrients utilized in the body. I will adopt physical exercise as a lifestyle and a daily routine activity to ensure I stay healthy.

Set a realistic goal for diet success

It is observable from the previous researchers that most people either eat because there is the availability of food or because they are hungry. Without knowing what the body requires regarding the diet, always lead to unbalanced eating styles that result in nutritional problems. It is imperative for an individual to have realistic goals needed to be achieved regarding the diet success, for example, set to lose 30 pounds in one month will automatically fail and lead to both mental and body diseases. Therefore, to prevent that, one should focus on losing weight and create a healthful eating habit.

Communication and campaign programs

It is critical to offer information to consumers to make wise choices of the food consumed regarding the diet that is not always the simple task to many. The campaigns should include all the stakeholders that have the same nutritional eating objective to give advice to the society on the importance of taking control of the eating habits. Whenever I have the opportunity, I will ensure I take part in various awareness campaigns to motivate people towards healthy living.

Conclusion

Many nutritional diseases are as a result of wrong eating habits by the people who are less knowledgeable about the importance of the diet. People tend to find it difficult to break from those habits. Therefore, it is very critical for all the nutrition and health stakeholders to take control of motivating and encouraging the public in adopting the best eating styles and habits that will ensure wellbeing. For the nutrition objectives to be successfully achieved, the motivation strategies should entail personal ability.
