There are corrections groups in every community setting that help with the process of fostering peace and harmony in the community. Different organizations from each community area assist in addressing some unethical behaviors that are prevalent in a society. Such community correctional organizations' main goals are to increase public safety and aid in the prevention of future illegal behavior. Additionally, these organizations aid in determining the probability that offenders will commit crimes of a similar nature. Additionally, they aid in keeping track of criminals' actions and other risk factors that might lead them to commit crimes again. (Duffee & McGarrell, 2010). In so doing, they have a plan that will help them to concentrate most of their efforts towards the people who are more likely to re-offend. Such organizations are also responsible for holding offenders accountable to circumstances of management. Finally, such associations have the mandate of designing programs that will ultimately help in reducing risks based on a return to criminal activity. For this reason, therefore, the paper seeks to address and research issues in relation to leadership, organizational structure, overall operations, special programs and connection to law enforcements, court systems as well as the community.

The leadership of community corrections organization comprises of different parties with skills and knowledge to work with an intention of improving criminal justice in a country. Most of the community correction agencies are comprised of volunteers and paraprofessionals to assist in the leadership of the agency and consider that every aspect of the correction community works as desired. Volunteers help in bring up new ideas into the organization that when well contemplated brings about positive results in the community (Champion, 2002). They do lots of research to ensure that the agency has the right and up-to-date approaches of dealing with offenders. They are always young and having innovative minds. However, their desire to do more in the leadership system has many challenges that when dealt with the volunteers can make up the best leadership in the associations. Most of the organizations do not offer volunteers with incentives that can well motive them to be more creative and innovative to reduce the level of re-offending among individuals. Consequently, the paraprofessionals also make up part of the society correction organizations. The paraprofessionals comprise of people with some formal training in a given area of correction. As compared to the volunteers, paraprofessionals require minimal supervision to have any kind of job done.

Just like any other kind of an organization, the community correction organization also have a streamlined organizational structure that helps in the management of the organization. Each party in the structure have different operational process. The organization is headed by the director’s office that is responsible for the general operation of the organization and strategic planning. The correctional facilities administration come next after the organization's direction (McNeill et al. 2012). The body is responsible for the operation of all correctional institutions available. The field operation administration has a core goal of managing and operating all amenities, services as well as programs. They also help in providing required investigative information and sentencing recommendations with regard to courts in the criminal cases. Finally, the budget and operation administration helps in offering oversight services to the organization as well as providing internal organizational support.

The community corrections organization comprises of two special programs. The schemes offer alternatives towards incarceration for the clients. The curricula are essential as they have an extensively lower cost to incarceration, which leads to a reduction in tax for the taxpayers. Consequently, they have greater success in community reintegration (Champion, 2002). The residential programs are simply an alternative to prison. It intends to help reintegrate offenders into the communities. With this type, of course, the offenders find an environment for them to live and attend the treatment. With the program, they also end up gaining the benefits of securing employment opportunities based on their talents. The non-community residential program offers a tremendously low level of supervision. Offenders in such as case transform from the residential programs to a non-residential program.

The schemes offered in community correction organizations have direct relationship and connection with law enforcement, court systems as well as the community. The community corrections enforce the law to the offenders that ensure that they do not re-offend. The employees in the community systems have a clear understanding of the law and the procedures undertaken are much similar to approaches that take place in a court system (Duffee & McGarrell, 2010). Moreover, the community is also a party in the organization. Most of the employees in the organization originate from the surrounding community since they have a clear understanding of the society and individuals therein.

In conclusion, it is evident that community correction organizations play a vital role in ensuring that the level of crime reduces in the society. They are tasked with the mandate of reduces such cases, before forwarding them to the high courts. In so doing, they help in reducing the number of cases in the federal and state courts hence efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with such cases in the courts of law.
