Crocs, Inc. and ConAgra's organizational structures are portrayed in several ways that describe the relationships between the various employees within the organizations. They are all similar in that they depict a personnel hierarchy ranging from the most skilled to the least skilled. The charts are displayed in such a way that the relationship between management and subordinates is specified while the structure of communication employed is determined.

The ConAgra Chart

The ConAgra chart, on the other hand, shows the various stockholders in the company as well as the shares provided. It also demonstrates a connection with the cooperation and other subsidiary companies. On the other hand, Crocs is presented as a divisional chart where the board members are placed in one column different from other levels of personnel. Hierarchy is then displayed within the various divisions and the available route of communication from one unit to the other. Consequently, Inc. organizational structure is divisional with each category introduced through a specific brand name.

Impressions and Proposed Changes

Describing the presented structures, I am impressed by the flat organizational structure used by Inc. since it prevents the use of bureaucracy in management. Compared to Crocs, the divisional aspects presented by Inc. and ConAgra's organizations are flexible in the method of communication. The employees can directly submit their needs to the senior management. The subsidiary companies in Inc could efficiently run their activities with the needed speed since they are presented with an opportunity to restructure their operations. In my position, I would change the structure of Crocs to enable them to accommodate a two-way communication between the senior management and the employees. The change could be due to the need of diversification of the activities of the organization which could be possible with a flexible management structure.
