According to Stenberg's Triarchic Theory of Intelligence

According to Stenberg, analytical intelligence is founded on the cooperative actions of metacomponents of intelligence and reflects how a person interacts with his or her internal world. The performance components, which stand in for the cognitive act, support the metacomponents, which measure an individual's cognitive process. They make it possible to both do calculations and retrieve information from memory. When responding to certain stimuli, the creative component gives one the capacity and understanding to do so. In his 2004 article "Sternberg's Triarchic Theory of Intelligence," Sternberg claims that experiments demonstrate this aspect of intelligence. It distinguishes between the various ways that individuals can approach problems depending on the circumstances. He talks of the practical facet as the ability of one to understand everyday tasks and shows how one interacts with his environment.

My Strongest Intelligence: Analytical Intelligence

Based on Sternberg’s model of measuring intelligence, I would rate myself as being strongest in Analytical Intelligence. I am able to perform various tasks that involve the brain more than those that need experience based on practice. The reason for this is that I think differently each time when considering various parameters that are associated with a problem.

Howard Gartner's Categorization of Intelligences

Howard Gartner categorizes intelligences based on seven human characteristics, which originate from interaction with the environment. There are people who think in terms of physical space, whom he categorizes as being Visual-Spatially intelligent. Body-kinesthetic intelligence relates to people with a high sense of ambidextrous precision as well as bodily flexibility. Musical intelligence relates to sound sensitivity, being able to perceive the world in a better manner through music ("Multiple Intelligences", n.d). Interpersonal intelligence is based on social intelligence. Intrapersonal intelligence enables self-awareness to a great extent. Linguistically intelligent people creatively use language to relate to the world, while the logical-mathematically intelligent find it easier to draw shapes and patterns through their daily interactions.

Importance of Self-Awareness and Knowledge

This information is important as it enables one to be aware of who he or she is with regards to the interaction with the environment. Using this knowledge, I am able to understand how my way of perception, which will help me to learn in a better manner. For instance, knowing that I am musically intelligent has given me a hint to always use music as a base for studying or doing tasks.
