A movie, also known as a film or motion picture, is a collection of still images that, when seen on a screen, give the impression that they are moving thanks to the phi effect.

I knew nothing about the phi phenomenon prior to reading this chapter. I used to believe that movies were genuine, but as I've learned more, my perception of what a movie is has altered.
