I've met and liked a lot of journalists during the presidential elections. Ms. Victoria Jonnies, a news anchor for the local station's central channel, was among them. Her eloquence was her most appealing attribute, which was quickly seen by many. She was an outstanding newscaster, and many viewers appreciated the way she presented the news. I was shocked to learn how much experience she had in journalism, and when she did the news, the content was well presented, making most viewers hungry for more information. She never believed in being supervised to do her duties well. Instead, she advocated for working with all her passion and interest without being forced. Because of her love for the job, something triggered my interest in learning and writing to be like her in future. Besides her great way of presenting news, she encouraged me on having good morality, the need to be educated and how to evaluate morality and time.

As she shared her story, she went through so much in life to be who she is now yet so happy. She never turned anyone down whenever they asked for her assistance or advice. Outside news room she had a healthy body and the secret behind that was her love for cooking and exercising. Therefore, she advised me to do exercises and make sure that I eat a balanced diet for a healthy body. After the long chat with her, she kept on calling to find out how I was fairing and if there was any improvement in my learning. The follow up that she did keep on haunting me that I could not rest until there was some significant change to show. On her face, she was always the portrayed a look of compassion and empathy that would forever help me realize how unique she was. She inspired me and even changed my life trajectories. From that day on, I made it a mission to work hard as a student to pay back the first instance kindness which I was repeatedly shown. I learned the true meaning of living and started striving to achieve some of the qualities that I learned from her. By the time I was in my tenth grade, I knew the purpose and the benefits for my learning and writing skills. I worked hard and smart to make sure that I emulated my mentor in all good ways. From time to time, I have taken the opportunity to look into the rearview mirror of my life and analyze how much change has impacted my life.
