Technology is seen by Lawlers as a tool that should bring freedom to people, but it has really taken that freedom away from them to the point where they are unable to function without it. This is a result of people's heavy reliance on technology to carry out daily tasks. The main reason for technology-related problems has been this dependence. According to Lawler, issues with technology include inequality, unemployment, discrimination, unethical internet use, and drug abuse.

One of the ethical issues Lawler points to when criticizing technology is prejudice. In his discussion he views technology as the barrier in upholding the acceptable societal codes of conduct, For instance, disrespect of old-aged people in the society by the young is against ethics of most corporations, erosion of cultural values and identity such that people do not value their historical backgrounds. According to a personal judgment Lawler, I disagree with his argument on the problem of technology. From a particular point of view, technology has brought more benefits to humanity compared to Lawler's alludes harms. For instance, Technology has boosted the field of medicine through scientific discoveries, which have lowered infant and maternal mortality rates. Also, better equipment used in diagnosis and treatment of diseases has been invented. The technology the Lawler opposes has prolonged life expectancy because there are curative, vaccines and painkillers that relieve a sick people ailment thus can live for many days. Also, technology has promoted sharing of knowledge through the internet, print media and research in all corners of the world thereby unifying people of different races and cultural background.

Regulation of artificial policies

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability displayed by machines to copy animals and human cognitive capacity to perform functions such as learning, computation, and reasoning. The Artificial intelligence problem-related because it speeds up the processes of doing either industrial or domestic task in a hazardous environment where human information cannot be applied. However, if the application of artificial intelligence is not controlled and goes beyond certain limits, it can overpower human knowledge and cause significant harm to humanity. Consequently, there is a need for formulation of laws, policies, and regulation that will control this learning to operate with acceptable boundaries.

The most fundamental policy required is to formulate defined laws and sanction that will govern the level to which artificial intelligence should be applied. These strategies will guide the extent, to which false information is implemented in the production process such that workers interest and ability are no undermines or loss jobs that are sources of income. The laws should protect pollution environment from heavy metal that is used in assembling human-like machines such as war robot.

Another policy that can protect human intelligence in cases where artificial intelligence has been overused leading to unemployment. The laid-off workers should be re-absorb to the system. This can be done by training the worker's new skills on the artificial intelligence to open new opportunities for them. These trained employees may have the ability to venture more in discovering synthetic knowledge that has the useful application. These policies facilitate the continuous creation of employment opportunities as the artificial intelligence is further applied.

The moral principle that should the taken to account in the application of artificial intelligence includes designing machines that are wholly controlled by human intelligence. The tools should be friendly and harmless to a human when put to use. The inventors and manufacturers should be accountable for the actions performed with the device or gadgets that pose human intelligence. Another ethical that should be considered is the control and using disastrous war arms such as nuclear, missile, drone that are controlled by artificial intelligence. This will help to protect humanity from effects the weapon can cause when used with the intention to harm living organism on the planet.

Impacts and Ethics of computer technology in human lives

Computers are devices that are programmed to function as a human under given commands called algorithms. The coordinated application of computers to perform multiple, complex and computation of tasks leads to computer technology. The invention of this computers technology has impacted both the positive and negative effects in people’s daily lives. Some of the positive impacts of these computers include improved telecommunication, security, and health education research among others. However, there have been negative impacts in people lives due to computer technology, for example, unemployment, boredom, laxity in the performance of duties, cybercrimes, moral decadence and increased warfare as a result of missile and nuclear control.

Computers technology has made life ‘easier” by increasing efficiency, speed, and perfection in the manner in which they perform tasks. Computers make work easier because it greatly saves time that it could have taken human mind to tackle the same task. Furthermore, it has cut the cost of production where it multitasks on a task that could require lots of labor force that is expensive to pay and sometimes prone to error and underperformance. On the contrary, the computers have made life "worse" by eroding moral values, laying off the employees because computer performs a task that human does. Also has brought health computation like sight defects. As a result of these computers impacts, philosophers have developed theories some of which criticize the invention while others support computer technology.

According to utilitarian theories brought forward by “Jeremy Bentham (1748-1832)". He advocates for consequences that bring more benefits to people than harm. In his view, he argues that even if an action is terrible but at long last brings more utility to an individual that the damage it is likely to cause to him then the, is justified to be applied. Therefore, considering his conceptual logic in theory similar to the invention of computer technology; computers benefits outweigh the harm they pose to people hence computer technology worth being adopted. For instance, the computer has led to natural sharing and access to information (internet), improved security, and treatment of cancer by chemotherapy compared to eyesight problem or laxity.

A German philosopher known as Immanuel Kant of 1724-1804 discussed another theory that brings forward the ethical aspect of the introduction of computers. The philosopher advocated for rationality and reasoning in determining the moral judgment of an action before it’s implemented. In his theory, he argues that if by judging a response from a neutral point, doing critical thinking, unemotional and genuinely reasonable a person can conclude the effects of a particular activity in the society. According to the daily life of people interacting with computers there, the application is more advantageous as compared problems that could become along without computer technology. Thus it’s more ethical to adopt and use computers in our daily lives.

The Rawls ethical theory, it’s perceived that when people are given equal opportunity in making choices, they will always arrive at a universal option. This automatically happens even when factors such as gender biases, religious afflation, special needs or educational level is ignored still a common rational choice is made that seem to have a common denominator (Ermann,2014). Considering today's societies computer technology is cherished. This shows that the majority of the people agree that computers make work more comfortable and therefore embrace this technology. Therefore, indicates that the benefits of computers are more advantageous to man as compared to its harm.

The rights theory advocated by Thomas Hobbes of 1588-1679 criticizes the adoption of computer technology given that man is a free being and can do whatever he wants to satisfy his ego without considering the effects he may cause to others. The adoption and use of computers have brought more negative due to the selfishness of people that want to gain without considering the harm they pose to others. For instance, cybercrimes have led to leakage of information, hacking into the financial system to steal money, hijacking planes leading to plane crash .increased terror activities and oppression of less developed countries with superpowers thus creating the inequality and fear among nations.

Justice theory brings forward the argument to criticize the adverse effects brought by computers. In this approach, it tries to make a comparison of a similar action that brings same results and then considers their magnitude of the impacts. It eludes a virtual scale of comparing impacts of activities at a different time interval in ethical determination. From the concept of this theory, the computer technology has caused more results that are negative to humanity as compared to effects that could be felt in the absence of computer technology. For instance, moral decadence due to exposure to the internet in the society, the emergence of chronic diseases as a result of exposure to electromagnetic emissions leading to cancer (Suresh et al. 2015). Increased cyber-crime, which is very difficult to trace and control.

In conclusion, it is true that computer makes our lives easier and worse at the same time. However, considering the ethical theories of various philosophers' computers have relatively more benefits to humanity than harm. Therefore, people should live to embrace the positive values and neglect the negative ones.
