Improve quality of care

The main goal of EHR is to improve care quality. Because of this, EHRs guarantee improved patient outcomes and effective delivery of healthcare services (Palma, 2013). As a result, medical mistakes are no longer made, which leaves people unhappy with the care they receive. Focusing on patient outcomes and the healthcare facility's general reputation allows for the monitoring of quality care.

Reducing the number of employees is a bad objective. This is because it causes unemployment to develop in society. As a result, some families experience poverty as a result of the use of EHRs. The monitoring of the goal is done by taking a survey to establish the employment rates and number of the displaced employees from a healthcare facility.

Decrease the number of duplicate tests for patients

EHRs are the effective tools, which help in the reduction of duplicate tests for patients. Thus, patients do not waste time being tested for things, which were done in the previous times. Such makes patients feel unsatisfied with the services offered and their outcomes are not improved. Monitoring of this goal is effectively done by conducting a research on the test process of patients.

Reduce the time it takes to access a health record

Time reduction for the accessing health record is a critical factor in healthcare facilities. This ensures that physicians and other healthcare providers have an opportunity of offering their services at a fast rate in society. The goal is monitored by measuring the wait times for patients as they are being served in a healthcare facility.

Decrease the cost of each patient's visit

EHRs are good at reducing the cost of patient visit by ensuring that patients have a chance of accessing medical help from different locations. Monitoring of this goal is done by conducting a survey to gather feedback from patients.

Non ideal goal

The non idea goal is the reduction of the number of employees. This goal creates unemployment. Thus, it is a source of social problem instead of being a solution to the challenges that families face in society.
