The Memorial Hospital in the town of Spring Field is dealing with a number of setbacks. According to the data on healthy people, the different objectives established for 2020 in the majority of the regions visited have not been met. People choose the other hospitals in the region rather than the memorial hospital because the standards at the memorial hospital are perceived as being lower than those at the other hospitals. Among the many issues encountered are staff members who respond to patients less quickly, sanitary problems, considerably fewer professionals, and inexperienced nurses. To improve standards and ratings of this hospitals I suggest the following steps to be followed to curb the problems highlighted above.

The doctors’ and nurses’ response to the patients

received lower percentages than other hospitals in the area. To improve this response, the memorial hospital should increase the number of nurses, experienced doctors, and several surgeons that are specialized in some critical body parts rather than just hiring general surgeons (Kindig, 2017). Increase in personnel reduces pressure to the workers there and they can easily attend to multiple patients at the same time rather than few people working on a larger group of people.

Cleanliness ratings can be increased

by hiring effective cleaners but not relying on nurses to do both cleaning the hospital and attending to the patients at the same time (Science Museum, 2017). This is effective because it reduces the workload by splitting the required duties.

As much as the hospital offers clinical rounds

to new nurses as part of their education, experienced nurses should also be hired. Relying on the community college might cause a problem since the nurses recruited might not have as much experience required to improve standards of the memorial hospital. Experienced nurses reduce the workload to general physicians and doctors by making it easier to identify problems on patients by just being there with them.

Standards of the hospital can generally be increased

by creating a tight bond between the workers in the hospital. This creates a cohesive team spirit that easily contributes to the improvement of how services are provided. Also, engaging patients in more physical activities instead of the occasional game of horseshoe (Choski, Stine, & Gourevitch, 2013). The faculty might also arrange with the community churches or faculties to come up with volunteer cleaning days to improve cleanliness if the hiring bit might be expensive to the hospital. Smoking also in the faculty should be highly discouraged to reduce lung cancer instances or to control it.

By following the above suggestions

the standards and ratings of the hospital can easily be increased and possibly more people can choose the hospital as their better option.
