Similarly, blacks or White subjects could choose to offer stimulus favor to others without any threat. Also, chances are whenever public gives poor feedback the threat is often stronger threat compared as compared to private feedback. A defense mechanism is used as a method of emotion suppression (Siemer, Mauss, & Gross, 2007).

Both cognition, emotion and suppression findings

reflect the class reading that identifies people’s emotional reactions using non-verbal communication. Different people have developed various ways and responses towards their emotions through suppression of specific appraisal alterations through the elimination of the emotional feeling. Self-reported appraisals have been used widely to identify people’s emotions in unconscious situations (Siemer, Mauss, & Gross, 2007).
