6. What influenced your decision to obtain the graduate degree you did?

As a Chief Nursing Officer, my responsibilities cut across the board where along side nursing duties, I also perform administrative, leadership, and advisory roles. I also liaise with physicians and hospital administrators, ensuring the existence of a cordial working relationship between them and the nurses. These roles require superior leadership and organizational skills, two of my strongest points. Besides, I believe in high levels of integrity, and that patients must be cared for according to the set policies and procedures. In order to inculcate these principles, I felt that I needed to pursue a career in nursing administration.

7. Are you considering further education?

No. I am not considering furthering my education beyond this point. However, I would greatly consider undertaking self-enrichment programs. As I move towards mentorship of younger professionals, these programs will assist me in motivating them to reach their potential and achieve their goals.
