San Diego's Municipal Police Program

San Diego's municipal police have created a program to teach children better methods to resolve disagreements without resorting to violence (Arciaga, Sakamoto, & Jones, 2012). Peer counseling, which involves resolving disputes amongst students in the community amicably, has an impact on the curriculum. The police are directly engaging influencers and producing content for the students as part of their public relations effort. Direct communication promotes a culture of peaceful conflict resolution in society, aiding in the settlement of disagreements amongst neighbors. Besides the parks program providing playing equipment to the students, it also helps them stay away from destructive habits being engaged in co-curricular activities. The program builds a platform for the students to interact with other ones (Prasaad & Raghupathy, 2005). The principal uses the libraries platform to ensure timely arrival of the students to school and prevent exposure to destructive environments on their way. The university programs provide guidance such as career counseling and encourage the students not to drop out of school apart from the mentorship it offers. By educating the students on amicable ways of conflict resolution, the police program monitors the rates of conflict and crime in the community (Khodarahmi, 2009). The school based health clinic ensures they control infants' health disorders by providing health care within a learning environment hence monitoring the children's health.

St. Paul's Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)

St. Paul's Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a local organization in San Diego that purposes to take care of the abandoned old people in the community ("St. Paul's Pace", 2017). The organization renders health care and attends to the needs of the elderly with the support of institutions and government funding. The program has indoor and home care services. The organization has been recognized internationally for the work hence it is successful in its mission.
