Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders are mental illnesses that can prevent people from going about their daily lives. Diseases strike people with fear and worry, but with therapy, people may control the symptoms and resume normal activities (Kennedy & Barlow, 2017). These disorders and their associated symptoms vary, but the most frequent are panic disorder and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

GAD is caused by continuous and excessive worry about life and the future. Evidence suggests that the disease may be caused by a family history, life experiences, particularly stressful experiences.
